What we do


Mediation and conflict management


The IPA’s support includes:

Handling grievance, disciplinary and capability cases using mediation and coaching

Pre and post-mediation coaching to prepare parties and ensure the outcome of the mediation is sustainable

Help with dealing with difficult workplace relationships and performance issues which have led to problems

Mediating conflicting situations between board members; shareholders; managers and employees; employees and colleagues; teams; and entire organisations, through union and employee representative groups.

Neutral interventions and facilitation


IPA’s support includes:

Facilitation of meetings and discussions

Conducting a neutral fact-finding exercise or informal investigation

Facilitating the development of strategies and new ways of working

Acting as a neutral chair, for example in management and union meetings and negotiations; or in negotiations between an organisation and its customer groups

Facilitation of change programmes with the aim of making a smoother transition for employees
