More than two years ago the Government’s business department, BEIS, launched a consultation on compulsory ethnicity pay reporting. We have seen significant growth in the numbers of major employers reporting voluntarily, helped by the new CIPD reporting guide which Duncan drafted.

This represents a tiny fraction of UK employers we will discuss whether this highlights the weaknesses of a voluntary approach and what organisations need to do now to make this happen.
